Where is The Jaxson Located?
The Jaxson is located in the historic Jax Brewery building at 620 Decatur St., in the heart of the French Quarter, directly across from Jackson Square, with private riverfront views of the Mississippi River.
Is parking available near the venue, and how do guests get there?
There are 3 lots adjacent to us with multiple entrances/exits for easy guest access” and we are on the Toulouse streetcar stop connected to the Convention Center. Many choose ride shares, pedicabs, etc.
What are the different modes of transportation to The Jaxson in the downtown area?
- Streetcar — directly on the Toulouse St stop (Riverfront Line), connected to the Convention Center
- Self-parking — 3 adjacent lots with multiple entrances/exits
- Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) — commonly used given French Quarter parking/traffic
- Pedicabs — popular short-distance option in the Quarter
- Walking — since we’re in the heart of the French Quarter, most downtown hotels and Convention Center guests are within easy walking distance
- Taxi — readily available throughout the Quarter, especially post-event when rideshare surge pricing can spike

Is The Jaxson wheelchair accessible?
Yes, The Jaxson is fully ADA accessible, featuring a ramp, elevator, and handicap-accessible restrooms. Our indoor space also flows seamlessly onto the private riverfront Terrace, with no stairs to navigate along the way.
Capacity & Pricing
How many guests can your French Quarter wedding venue accommodate?
At the Jaxson, we can accommodate from 100 up to 500 for a Station Style Reception and from 50 to 220 for a seated dinner.
How much does it cost to get married at your French Quarter wedding venue?
A Station-Style Reception for 150 guests or more starts at $175 per person, and that’s genuinely all-in — food and open bar, including tax, service charge, and venue fees, with no hidden add-ons.
That price also includes a lot of what other venues charge separately for — tables, linens, chairs, china, and silverware are all built in, on top of specialty NOLA cocktails on the bar and a private riverfront Terrace.
Worth keeping in mind: since every menu is fully custom rather than a fixed package, exact pricing shifts with guest count, bar style, and specific menu choices — smaller weddings, seated/served dinners, or add-ons like a Carving or Sushi Bar will land at different price points than the $175/person baseline.

How much is the deposit?
Our deposit is $7500.
Do I need outside rentals for tables and chairs, etc.?
Tables, chairs, white floor-length linens, china, and silverware are all included in every proposal, so you won’t need outside rentals for those. On top of that, you’re also getting seating for 40% of guests indoors (or a minimum of 80 ghost chairs) and outdoor furniture on the private Terrace, all bundled in.
Booking & Planning
How far in advance should we book our French Quarter wedding venue?
Popular dates — especially Saturdays in spring and fall — often book 12–18 months in advance. We recommend touring and securing your date as early as possible once you’ve chosen your venue.
How long will you "hold" a date?
Your date is typically held for 5 days after your proposal is sent. If another couple becomes interested in that same date after the hold period, you’ll always be given first right of refusal before we move forward with anyone else.
Can we make changes to our proposal after booking?
Yes — menu selections and your final guest count can be adjusted up until 23 days before your event, which is when we place our catering orders.
What happens if my guest count changes closer to the event date?
Once the 23-day mark has passed, your guest count is welcome to increase, but it can no longer decrease — our catering orders are already placed based on your final headcount at that point.
What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits and scheduled payments serve to reserve the event space for the specified time and services and are non refundable. In the case of a Force Majeure and/or Act of God event, which includes but not limited to the following instances: destruction or material damage to the event facility by fire, storm, lightning, flooding, earthquake or other casualty, and including destruction due to bombing or shelling, other war/terrorism damage or restricted use and/or availability due to government restrictions, rendering the facility inoperable, inaccessible, or unsafe for the event, The Jaxson will issue a written notice of the Force Majeure or Act of God event. The client will then have an opportunity to reschedule the event to an available date within 425 days from the original contracted date. The Jaxson will honor the pricing structure for the venue rental, food and beverage services, ceremony fees and equipment rented by The Jaxson on behalf of the client. All prior deposits and payments will be credited to the rescheduled date and applied to the new contract.
Ceremony & Events
Are there indoor and outdoor ceremony options?
We have both indoor and outdoor ceremony options. It really depends on your guest count.
Do you offer a backup plan for rain or bad weather?
Yes. We will make the decision 2 hours prior to the ceremony based on the forecast at that time. If needed, we will move the ceremony indoors.
Can I do a Ceremony without a Reception?
No. As we only do one event per day, we can only accommodate ceremonies with receptions.
How many events do you host in one day?
Just one event per day so our full attention is on you!
How much time is allotted for each event?
Three hours is the standard baseline for events. Additional time may be added in 15 minute increments!
How much time is included for wedding setup and cleanup?
We allow vendors in 5 hours prior and we ask that they load out within 1 hour of the event end.
Can we have a New Orleans second line or other French Quarter wedding traditions?
Absolutely! We are happy to help you find the perfect vendors!
Do you offer a tasting before we book?
Yes, a complimentary private tasting for up to 4 guests is included once your date is secured.
Food, Beverage & Catering
Do you provide catering, or can we choose our own caterer?
We provide a fully custom in-house menu.
Can we bring our own alcohol, or do you provide bar service?
No — all alcohol is provided through our in-house bar service, fully customizable including a full open bar with specialty NOLA cocktails.
Vendors & Music
Can we choose our own wedding vendors?
Yes — you’re welcome to bring in any vendors you’d like (florist, photographer, DJ/band, planner, and more), as long as they’re licensed and insured.
Are live bands and DJs allowed, and what are the venue's noise restrictions?
Yes, as long as they are licensed and insured.
Our 93-decibel limit allows for a lively band or DJ at full energy — roughly comparable to a passing motorcycle or a loud stadium crowd — while staying well below concert-level volume.

What do you offer for outside space and how is your exterior space accessed?
Our private riverfront Terrace overlooks the Mississippi River and sits on the same level as the rest of the venue, allowing the space to flow seamlessly from indoors to outdoors. There are no stairs or separate entrances to navigate — just an easy, natural transition between your indoor and outdoor celebration.
Are your ceilings tall?
Yes — our high ceilings create a beautiful aesthetic while also contributing to a wonderfully acoustic environment, perfect for everything from live music to heartfelt toasts.
Is Security provided?
Yes. We use Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Deputies.

Yes we have a private suite with its own restroom included; access starting 3 hours prior to your event, along with a personal attendant for the newlyweds.

Yes — the private bridal suite is fully appointed for your comfort, with access starting 3 hours prior to your event. It includes a private restroom, mirrors and vanity space, a seating area to relax before the celebration, and an emergency bride box for any last-minute needs. You’ll also have a personal attendant throughout, plus a private dining table for two where you and your new spouse can savor your first meal together as a married couple, served by your personal butler.
